Taxi for Wilson was the young & highly promising new band making there debut appearance @ the Keys this Friday evening & with it a stark contrast in music from your everyday high powered classic & metal rock the locals which regular attend on a week-end are accustomed to. As you would appreciate the band being led from the front by one of the youngest females Ive seen around on the circuit @ lot of the music was of modern pop & tame rock covers which naturally pleased the female members of the audience to a night of pure pleasance & dancing. The first set steady way but with a few minor mistakes with-in the band missing the odd key & backing vocals lacking in harmony sometimes but you would put this down to the fact the band have played very few gigs & in a very long space of time between them plus unable to rehersal for a few weeks certainly doesn't help the matter which goes to show that no matter what in the space between gigs you tend to find the top bands around the local scene take time out to rehearse on a regular basis come rain shine or taking over your mothers bedroom, toward the end of the set things started to come to-gether despite a dodgy mic which tended to have a mind of its own & the second set looked promising. The second set kicked off & there was a mighty difference the band was more tighter volume was up a couple of notches & tweaked around with, there was a much better stage presence & understanding through out the band & the delivered a very welcoming & pleasing set by the end of the evening had the movers & shakers literally dancing on the tables.I liked the band a lot with there choice of more lively uptodate mix of pop/funk & soft rock & will make it a point to see Taxi for Wilson again to see how far & progressed the band have travelled.
