This Saturday evening Emerald unleashed there full repertoire of music onto a very healthy Cross Keys crowd who were not to be disappointed from the master's of Metal & rock. Featuring all the usual favorites with what you have come to expect from Emerald played with style & a cutting edge courtesy over there superb p.a. system delivering a sound quality which any band would be proud to feature. With a uprated lighting rig to add to the theater of Emeralds show from the off vocalist tom had the movers & shakers in his pocket & a voice which compliments the type of material the band undertake supported by a powerhouse of three top draw musicians in the shape of on lead Ian Hepinstall a guitar'st who in my opinion is one of the best around on the circuit but is one of the quiet unsung hero's not always with his name up in lights.on Percussion there's edgy, Martin is one hell of a drummer & like all good pots n pans men he lets you know he's there, to-nightwas a bit special for Bass 'ist Ted Robinson who played his final gig before going onto pastures new who stepped in to the job with a big act to follow in Lincoln J Roth but over the last couple of years has handled the job superbly & in his own right another unsung hero like most Bass players. After the last couple of gigs that i had seen Emerald i was a bit concerned & thought they had lost there way a bit & stuck in a bit of a rut since the demise of a five piece outfit but to-night was good to see the guys back to there best & lifting the Keys roof tile's till well into the early hours.
