On a bitterly cold Friday evening which saw a few brave souls turn out @ the Cross Keys to watch Empress of the years new & exciting bands perform two refreshing & exceptional sets featuring the superb voice of Louise on vocals Andrew on guitar, Lee on drums and Tony on bass the band play a wide & varid selection of numbers featuring the covers of Kings of Leon, Metallica, No Doubt, Rasmus, Muse, Evanescence, Stereophonics, Blink 182, Guns and Roses, Pink, Skunk Anansie, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Jimi Hendrix, Belinda Carlisle, Natalie Imbruglia, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ugly Kid Joe, Rolling Stones, Lynnard Skynerd, Wild Cherry, Kaiser Chiefs, Joan Jett. Empress have gone from strength to strength this last few month being so much in demand they are now virtuality doing triple headers each week-end & still find time to take part in helping out with other bands & various projects beside 's becoming much sort after for various charity events which they are always happy to oblige when ever possible. The p.a. was @ a nice level though Tony's bass seemed a bit on the low side unless that was because were i was situated other than that everything else was crisp & sharp the acquired new back lights is a good addition to the whole round stage presence ,As the evening came to a close so much was the demand for encores the band had to delve into there special functions set list to close off a fantastic evening .
