Regrettably to-nite saw a reality poor turn out for the evenings band Motus, who by far are one of the local scene's most talented & respected bands on the circuit.Covering a heap of covers backed up with the bands own original material which is of the highest standard the band gave two excellent sets of a wide & varid selection of music a lot not being the norm but some outstanding unfamiliar numbers not often heard from the likes of Australian band Baby Animals & a very well arranged & sublime version of Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights sang superbly by liz who has to have one of the great female rock voices around & the area is well blessed by its fair share. One of the other highlights was an airing of the bands Satellite which is quite an exceptional number. As usual Graeme was @ his best making his guitar do the talking & well supported by Mike on Bass & Steve on Pots n Pans though great musicians in there own fields. Shame the turn out was on the poor side I know money is tight & Xmas is just around the corner & you cant drag people in of the streets but it makes blood boil & so angry when a band with so much talent the venue staging the gig doesn't get the support they deserve, i now punters have there favorites but if it wasn't for the venues & the live bands we would be all cabbages watching the likes of crap factor & the dancing thingy. But to top it all this is one of my favorite bands & i could watch Motus in a empty or bursting @ the seems venue because this is one class act.
