Contraband warmed up a somewhat damp & chilly evening @ the Cross Keys playing to near to full house which highlights what a all round superb band this is & marks them up as one of the area's premier players on the local scene. The guys in the band played two of the most exceptional sets i have seen this year throwing into the mix half a dozen or more new numbers in which you could hardly tell it was there first outing highlight of the evening was a version of Muse's Knights of Cydonia.Contraband certainly impressed the live music virgins & i gather there was one or two making it this occasion thanks to Mark from Comet arranging this evening as a staff outing & introducing the comet peeps just what they have been missing . As i said one of my highlights of the year in my top ten list not a wrong key or note in place superb sound live entertainment @ its best.
