More on Melvin

This Friday @ the Cross Keys brought another young talent from Morley's rapidly growing hot bed of up & coming young rock bands who growing in reputations through-out the local scene. The latest band to start out on there quest for fame & fortune is Melvin. Despite this being the bands 4th or 5th outing they showed great maturity & a togetherness as you would a band 6 months to a year down the line,from the onset when you first see the Melvin you think this band is indie material through & through but i was pleasantly surprised to hear them play all the up to date classics most of the punters want to here from Guns N Roses to Oasis plus a dash of Greenday.Led by a Dave on vocals who will hold his own with any front man & a band who so impressed me with there tightness & understanding in such a short time shows that Melvin have spent a lot of time in rehearsals before embarking on the road. As i said earlier Morley is buzzing @ the moment with young talent & beforre long Merlin will rank along side its other bright young hopefulls Tytania & A Day For Hero's.
