The numbers were a bit thin on the ground this Friday when top rock covers band Contraband paid the Cross Keys a visit but what was lacking in numbers generated a superb atmosphere for this trio of musicians.Contrand are one of the regions premier bands that always carry themselves off with a great display of music & sound which although they are a trio makes them sound as any five piece outfit. The band members of Nigel bass Tony guitar & Steve on the drums enable this band to deliver rock classics & more uptodate covers of the highest quality, it being from Black Sabbath's War Pigs to The Killers Mr Brightside or Gary Moore's Into The Fields the content of the songs were near perfection . The end of the second set saw the floor bouncing with punters rocking there socks off to AC/DC 's Let there be rock which went down a storm .Superb band & high quality music.
